On August 4, 2025, Insight Institute of Management and Technology had the privilege of hosting a special training session for the dedicated volunteer teachers of Vision Dehiyanga (VD) – a welfare initiative based in the village of Dehiyanga, in the Kandy district.

Led by our passionate resource person Mr. M.H.M. Nawas, the session introduced innovative, activity-based methods for teaching English to Grade 3 students. Teachers were trained in the use of flashcards, roleplays, songs, and educational games to enhance phonemic awareness, vocabulary, oral communication, reading, and writing, while also nurturing cognitive development in young learners.

As part of our voluntary outreach, Insight has pledged continued support to this meaningful initiative—including syllabus development, teacher training, and technical assistance. This collaborative effort will serve as a pilot project, with plans to expand into other key learning areas such as the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, depending on its future relevance.
